About the Role
As our People & Culture Operations Specialist, you’ll play a key role in keeping our day-to-day operations running smoothly while supporting an exceptional employee experience. You’ll be the go-to person for everything from onboarding and employee documentation to maintaining a welcoming, well-organized office environment that helps our team do their best work.
This role combines hands-on HR operations with office management responsibilities, giving you a broad scope across people, processes, and workplace experience. You’ll be part of the People & Culture team, reporting to our P&C Lead, and collaborate closely with Finance, IT, and Leadership to keep our internal operations efficient, compliant, and people-centric.

What You’ll Do
- Own and maintain accurate employee records, contracts, and HR system.
- Plan and organize our quarterly company events and internal team-building activities that bring people together.
- Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth experience for new joiners and leavers.
- Act as the first point of contact for employee questions about policies, benefits, visas, or general HR matters.
- Support payroll and benefits administration in collaboration with finance and external providers.
- Own key People team processes like sick leave, compliance checks and visa requests.
- Take charge of keeping our office space organized, stocked, and functioning (from supplies to snacks!).
- Liaise with vendors and building management to ensure a smooth day-to-day office experience.
- Spot opportunities to improve, automate, and streamline internal processes.
What We’re Looking For
- At least 1 to 3 year of experience in HR admin or a similar operations role.
- Hands-on experience with HRIS tools (Currently we use NMBRS for payroll, and you'll be helping us select and implement our HRIS soon).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail—you genuinely enjoy keeping things in order.
- Strong interpersonal skills - you’re approachable, empathetic, and professional in handling confidential info.
- Strong Knowledge of the Dutch labor law and payroll.
- Experience in a startup or scale-up environment is a big plus.
