Our Story

Lab Prototype
A first thermoacoustic prototype with a thermal capacity of 240W was developed in partnership with TNO as proof of concept

Company founded
Founded in Alkmaar as a spinoff from TNO, we set out with the goal to develop a thermoacoustic engine to generate heat and cold that could be produced at scale and sold to heat pump manufactureres

Working Prototype
A joint effort of BlueHeart Energy & TNO was required to build a first working prototype and scale it's thermal capacity to 1kW

Testing Prototype
The thermoacoustics knowledge acquired by the BHDE team enabled the completion of the first testing prototype, entirely developed in-house by our team. It's capacity was scaled up to 3kW9

First Market Product
The design of BlueHear, our first market product, is completed and the first prototype was built with a capacity of 6kW

New Office
With our team growing, we moved to Heemskerk and opened the doors to our new space, creating room for more collaboration, innovation, and growth
