Senior Industrialization Engineer

About the Role

You will play a pivotal role in scaling Blue Heart Energy’s revolutionary thermoacoustic technology from prototype to mass production. As our first dedicated Industrialization Engineer, you will work at the intersection of engineering, supply chain, and production to build the foundation for our future manufacturing capabilities. Starting from our current prototype assembly line, you will lead the setup of pilot production, followed by mass production in the coming years. This includes defining processes, sourcing factory locations, and driving make-vs-buy decisions. This is a hands-on, high-impact role with strong leadership potential and the opportunity to build your own team as we grow.

What You’ll Do

• Industrialization Strategy: Define and lead the roadmap from prototype to pilot, and mass production, with key milestones expected over the next coming years. Design for Manufacturing: Guide engineering teams with DfM/A input to ensure scalable, cost-effective product designs.

• Production Planning: Develop takt time, cycle time, and line balancing strategies to support efficient production.

• Welding Process Ownership: Lead the welding strategy—outsource and qualify suppliers for pilot, and design in-house capabilities for series and mass production.

• Factory Sourcing: Take ownership of identifying and securing second and third factory locations for future production phases.

• CapEx Planning: Define and manage capital investment plans for production equipment, tooling, and facility upgrades.

• Make vs Buy Decisions: Drive strategic sourcing decisions for critical components and processes.

• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, supply chain, production, and quality teams to align on deliverables.

• ISO & Quality Support: Support the QA Lead in implementing ISO-compliant processes and documentation.

• Team Building: Lay the foundation for a future industrialization team, expected to grow to ~3 people over the next 2 years.

What We’re Looking For

• 7+ years of experience in industrialization, manufacturing engineering, or process development.

• Proven track record of scaling hardware products from prototype to mass production.

• Strong knowledge of DfM/A, welding processes, factory layout, and CapEx planning.

• Experience with production line design, takt/cycle time analysis, and lean manufacturing.

• Hands-on, startup mentality with a proactive and ownership-driven mindset.

• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

• Experience in clean tech, deep tech, or high-tech manufacturing environments is a plus.
