About the Role: Electronics Design Engineer – Manufacturing focus

Are you passionate about electronics and thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional environment?

We’re looking for an Electronics Design Engineer who will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our mass production products—not by designing the main controller, but by bringing deep technical expertise to strategic collaborations with our electronics suppliers and the Supply & Industrialization (S&I) team.

In this role, your focus will be on the technical definition and validation of electronics solutions, ensuring they meet performance, reliability, and manufacturability standards. While you concentrate on the technical strategy, the S&I team will drive cost optimization and supplier agreements, allowing you to focus on what you do best: engineering excellence.

What You’ll Do

• Supporting supplier selection in collaboration with S&I team.

• Reviewing and challenging supplier designs, ensuring they meet our technical and production standards.

• Sparring with suppliers to optimize design choices for mass production.

• Driving design reviews and risk assessments from concept to industrialization.

• Developing electronics for internal test equipment, supporting validation and verification processes.

• Collaborating closely with the Lead Embedded Software Engineer to ensure seamless integration between hardware and software, and to align on system-level requirements and testing strategies.

You’ll Work Closely With

• Electronics suppliers: to evaluate capabilities, review designs, and ensure production readiness.

• S&I team: to support on sourcing strategies and industrialization timelines.

• ESC team: to ensure system-level integration and technical consistency.

• Lead Embedded Software Engineer: to ensure hardware-software synergy and support embedded development needs.

What You Bring

• A degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field.

• Proven experience in electronics development and supplier collaboration.

• Strong analytical and communication skills to bridge technical and business needs.

• Experience with design for manufacturing (DFM) and industrialization processes.

• A proactive mindset and the ability to lead cross-functional discussions.
